Acorns are predominantly found in the Mediterranean region, especially in the north of Africa, in Spain and Portugal. The fruit is oblong, i.e. cylindrical in shape, and farmers often use it in the diet of pigs. Namely, consumption of this fruit improves the taste of livestock meat. On average, one pig eats 10 to 12 kilograms of acorns per day.
