At the heart of the EU Green Deal is the Farm-to-Fork Strategy which aims “to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly.” At the core of this strategy is addressing how to reconcile agricultural and livestock practices with greater sustainability demands for the environment and for society.
With the aim of reducing environmental impacts while meeting increasing societal demands for safe, nutritious, and affordable meat and dairy products, new PATHWAYS are being forged to identify and increase sustainable practices along the supply and production chains of the European livestock sector.
This forum contributes to Sustainable Food Systems (SFS) and Animal Welfare policy developments for implementing the Farm-to-Fork Strategy and advances more technical aspects for implementation across Europe.
