The Italian Agroforestry Association (AIAF) is organising the 1st National Agroforestry Forum taking place on 6-7 December 2023, at the Central Headquarters of the National Research Council (CNR) in Rome. AIAF extends an invitation to agronomists, foresters, and agricultural entrepreneurs to participate in discussions focused on promoting agroforestry practices in Italy. The forum aims to facilitate conversations about traditional agroforestry systems, biodiversity preservation, and the adoption of innovative approaches.
Sara Bergante from the Council for Agricultural Research and Agricultural Economics Analysis (CREA) will be presenting the AGROMIX Knowledge Hub at the forum.
This event serves as a platform for AIAF to coordinate political and technical-scientific discussions, fostering agroforestry practices in Italy. The focus is on preserving the biodiversity of traditional agroforestry systems, such as tree-lined pastures, woodland grazing, windbreak rows, hedges, and buffer strips, that characterise the diverse landscapes of the country.
